International Dinner

In its 13th consecutive year, A Taste of the World International Dinner will take place on Saturday, March 17 at the Marietta Shrine Club (249 Pennsylvania Ave). Only 250 tickets will be made available for sale and can be purchased at the link above or from any Marietta Morning Rotary Club member for $25. Doors open at 6 p.m.

“The most exciting part of this event is the variety of traditional dishes from around the world,” said Khadine Ritter, member of the Marietta Morning Rotary Club and the International Dinner’s event director. “The event provides a glimpse and a taste of cultures from around the globe.”

This year’s event will feature foods from 15 countries, including Australia, Moldova, Nigeria, Bolivia, Austria, Russia, and many others.

Live entertainment will be provided by breezy island sounds of steel drums played by Pan in Harmony.

“I have been to the event the last four years, and every year it seems to get more popular,” said Shannon Thompson, the Marietta Morning Rotary’s President-Elect.

This year’s proceeds will benefit the Club’s literacy efforts, which include the Reading Room at the Boys and Girls club, the Dictionary Project which provides a brand new dictionary to every third grade student in the Washington Country, and other literacy efforts throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.
